A few things.
- Saturday at Silverleafe Renaissance fair.
A) Thurlowe showed up. It’s always nice to see her. I met her mom. Very nice lady with a sense of humor. I wish we could have played some whistle together. Her playing makes me hot. I mean, makes me jealous.
B) A very cute little girl about 3 liked my flutes (at the same fair). Her grandma took a picture of us. I let her hold one of the bamboo flutes during the picture. She didn’t want to give it back. Grandma got it for me. (This is the cute kiddie part as mentioned in the subject - ed.)
C) I gave some guy my Walton D as he had never played whistle but played fairly decent, though distinctly classical, flute. I told him to try not to tongue so much. Take that however you like.
He liked the whistle.

Spent 347 inflated American Dollars on a sick cat only to find out he was incurable. CHF with subsequent renal failure. I’ll miss the old geezer.

Daughter showed up with one of the bizillions of kittens she rescues. My wife at first refused to take another cat but gave in. Now we have a new little fuzzy kitten named Snickers.
I have not yet taught her to play whistle though she does sing a lot.
Thank you.
Um, G4M, I’m getting a distinct cognitive dissonance from such a warm fuzzy post and your rotting avatar. I fear my head may explode.
Cognitive dissonance is my forte. My dream. My nightmare. The horror.
If it does explode can I use a picture of that as an avatar???
Hey, Rick! Let me say again how much I enjoyed the Silver Leaf Minstrels. And what I forgot to add before, that even in the outdoor setting, I could hear your flute bringing up the bottom of the trio wonderfully. It just sounded great. And my mom, as you could tell, had a great time, too.
As to my “hot” playing, Whiskey Before Breakfast did fine at the Bronson bandshell on Sunday. Great sound guys engineered us, and it just made all the difference, hearing the Olwell purring away in the monitors. I found I couldn’t sing a note though, because with my mom in the audience I got a little choked up. Happened when my dad visited too! So from now on, they’re banned.
Say hi to the family and Snickers for me,
Cara
Absolutely. If you can scrape up enough chunks, feel free.
BTW, your signature is also apt. Dining habits aside, are you into homicide forensics or something? Ew.
Cara, I wish I could have come Sunday. If you would kindly check your PM’s.
Nano,
Did you look the word up or did you know it?
No, I’m not a homicide cop but I watched one on TV.
I got it from television, myself. I’m a born armchair gawker.
