Certain songs for certain whistles

Hi There

Being new to the whistle are there certain songs that only suit whistles of certain keys. I have recently bought 2 whistles form Mr Dixon one in the key of D, and the other in A. They are really nice to play, but obviously some tunes are better on one than the other.Not knowing many tunes as yet could you sugest any easy tunes that would be good to learn on the A whistle.

Ashokan Farewell is lovely on the A whistle, and makes it possible to play AND sound sweet in the key that the fiddles play it.

Also try Lover’s Waltz . . .
