Ceramic/Stone whistles

I remember hearing about ceramic/stone whistles somewhere. Can anyone steer me to the website that I can’t seem to remember??? Thanks! :smiley:

I have seen ceramic and stone (and glass) flutes before, but I don’t think I’ve ever seen whistles made out of those materials.

The ones I’m looking for were made out of either stone or ceramic. I can’t remember. I do remember that they came in D and G. Kinda had a Xaphoonish look to it.

I have a double ceramic whistle in C (one barrel is a drone, the other is the melody), but I got mine on eBay and have no resource for others.

I’ve seen those on there from time to time…usually they’re listed as “strange flute” or “rare eastern European musical instrument” and the starting bid is something like $500. :stuck_out_tongue:

There’s a web site, and I can’t remember where it is offhand, that I have seen, that has whistles, lutes, lyres… all sorts of instruments… made of beautiful stone.
