Celtic Open Mic Night - April 10th, St. Paul, Minnesota, USA

Hello all,

forgive the cross post from the music topic, but thought you’d all be interested.

the Great Northern Irish Pipers Club (Minnesota’s Premiere Uilleann Pipe Club http://gnipc.org) is holding a fundraiser in the form on a Celtic Open Mic Night and silent auction. We’d love to see you there - this is your chance to premiere that 5-piece bodhran ensemble you’ve dreamed of forming.

We realize that most of you aren’t located in Minnesota and are busy saving your pennies to come out to our annual tionól in May, but you can still contribute to the fundraiser by donating to the silent auction - Irish music memorabilia, CD’s posters, reed cane, a full set of pipes, whatever. Or you can become an internet member of the club for a mere $5 which will also give you access to our video collection and future web content.

Visit our site http://gnipc.org to join, let us know if you want to perform or just show up and watch or perform. We hope to see you there!

Saturday, April 10th at 7:30.

From your mouth to Hell’s ear. :poke:

The GNIPC is always a good cause. By the way, for those of you locals who haven’t checked out The Celtic Junction yet, do so, seriously. It’s about time, long-awaited, that the Twin Cities had a home base for the Irish traditions, and the O’Sheas and all the volunteers who helped pull it together really did a bang-up job of it. Great location, great dance floors, great room-sound, great sound system equipment, and now the Junction is birthing a recording studio setup as well. I don’t think we can ever thank the O’Sheas enough for making all this happen.

The Celtic Junction isn’t just about Irish dance and music, but also about the visual arts, instrument making, and other Celtic traditions as well. Take a look. It’s sármhaith.
