There is a one day event this Saturday, August 14th, in Hartford, CT. It’s called Pipes in the Valley, and their website advertises it as-
“Connecticut’s Premier Pipe Band Event, Highland Games, Celtic Festival and Beer Festival!”
There are a number of performers throughout the day. Eileen Ivers is scheduled to play, and for those familiar with the City Steam session, P.V. O’Donnell is also on the schedule.
For the past two years this even has been held in East Hartford, but it moved to Hartford this year because at the venue that it was held at in the past they were not able to sell alcohol- and since one of the main sponsors of the event is Olde Burnside Brewing…
This is pretty small one day even, but if you happen to be in the area, you might want to think about stopping by.
