I’m looking for some free sheet music for Celtic Christmas tunes. I can play most of the Christmas carols by ear, but I’m looking for something more traditionally Celtic, that may be less familiar.

You might try to learn some Wassail songs. They are part of Christmas season celbrations…

The Christ Child’s Lullaby and Balloo Lammy are two that immediately come to mind. I don’t know if you could find the music to them though.

I don’t suppose anyone has run accross an old Bing Crosby song “Christmas in Kilarney” (sp?)
You’ll get some Christmas tunes here, though most are dance tunes that mention Christmas in their names, rather than carols:
Rather than start a separate thread, I’ll join in here with my own request, if I may.
I’ve just joined a scratch choir which gets together to sing carols every Christmas 
, and as the choir is based around the EU institutions and composed of people of many nationalities living in Brussels, the repertoire seeks to reflect the different nationalities represented.
The only Irish piece they’ve come up with is an English translation of “Bí a Íosa im chroíse” which, as far as I can see, is not particularly a Christmas song.
With the help of some kind souls in the <a href=http://www.mudcat.org/thread.cfm?threadid=54656#1062072>Mudcat café, I’ve identified “Don oíche úd…” as a more suitable candidate and found two transcriptions of it (which inevitably differ somewhat from each other). The choirmaster, who can read the black dots, is willing to help out with creating a four-part arrangement, but before I give him the basic tune I’d like to reconcile the two versions available online and give him a more detailed transcription that spells out the notes syllable by syllable.
Before doing this, I’d be interested in hearing some recordings of it. I’m told that it has been recorded by several people, including the Chieftains (The Bells of Dublin) and Cathal McConnell. Not strictly legal 
, but as it’s in a good cause (children’s charities) would anyone here who has a recording of it be willing to e-mail me a sound bite to this address Roger.O’Keeffe@cec.eu.int , please?
