So, for those who followed my last thread about my cataract, I went for my cataract evaluation on Weds of last week. They confirmed the cataract, and scheduled me for tomorrow.
I’m supposed to be out by noon..wish me luck 
I’m aware of the date..this isn’t an elaborate set-up for an April Fool’s Day joke.

Good luck! I had dinner Saturday with a friend who has worn glasses for many years. He had cataract surgery a couple of months ago, and has near-perfect vision today.
It’s become one of those routine modern miracle procedures, I guess…

You should’ve scheduled it for Talk Like A Pirate Day, then wear an eyepatch during recovery. Arrr!
Saw it first off. Nice touch. 
I had to wear an eyepatch in the 5th grade, for an entire year (alternating eyes occasionally). They hoped that this little song-and-dance would correct my strabismus (crossed eye).
One day, some younger kid (like 7 or 8 years old) saw me in line for the cafeteria and yells out “look! A real pirate!”. I was totally tickled.

Good luck, I’m sure all will go well though personally the thought of someone messing with one of my eyeballs gives me the shuddering willies.
