If you edit your post before the first person responds, if will not show as being edited, so quite possibly the seller added boxwood after Jim read the original message. I’ll give Jim the benefit of the doubt on this one, for, after all, logicians know that boxwood is boxwood.

I find that there is little rhyme or reason
to the edit function, in that often the
change isn’t marked, then sometimes
it is. Maybe you’ve hit on the deep
principle behind that, but I think
it’s mostly driven by gremlins.
I think if you edit your own message within a time limit (approx. 1 hour?) it will not be labelled as edited, regardless of whether there has been a reply or not.
I do recall it already saying boxwood prior to Jim’s post. Maybe it took Jim a while to compose his usual lengthy message .
You know, Gingko tablets are supposed to help with that sort of thing…
I recently saw some at the store…$8 bucks a bottle. The label said it would make my brain work better so I bought it. 
I took it faithfully for a month then found myself back at the same store. Saw the stuff on the shelf and didn’t buy it.
So, it obviously works.
