Has anyone played a recent model of this whistle? I’ve found a tour thread on here dating from 2007 and read a review on the now dormant PipersGrip site and both commented on the low volume.
However the mouthpiece has changed considerably in the ensuing years, has this improved the volume any?
I think he’s still figuring out the Low D in addition to his lower flutes. I totally recommend whistles from High Eb to Alto A, however.
Thanks for that, I’ve looked at a some clips on YouTube and the two I found of the Low D are a bit ‘iffy’, no disrespect intended but the players aren’t up to much (one constantly uses a horrible throat/diaphragm vibrato) so I don’t think they give a true impression of the instrument.
But I did find a couple of clips of someone playing a Alto A and it sounds amazing!!
