cape clear

Does anyone know where i can find music for the air cape clear. I Can’t find it anywhere. thanks in advance

Well, this is the one version I found. I found it at Fiddler’s Companion, which is a really great resource.http://www.ibiblio.org/fiddlers/FCfiles.html

If you copy the ABC notation from X:1 all the way to the end you can go paste it into the ABC Convert-A-Matic at the Concertina website:http://www.concertina.net/tunes_convert.html. Then you can print up the standard notation sheet for it. I have found that you have to delete the extra line spacing in the ABC’s from Fiddler’s Companion to paste it into this site successfully and I have already done that.

CAPE CLEAR. Irish, Slow Air (3/4 time). D Minor (Joyce): E Minor (Ó Canainn). Standard. AB. Cape Clear, Oileán Chléire, is Ireland’s southernmost inhabited island, eight miles off the coast of County Cork. It is three miles long by a mile wide and features spectacular landscape, cliffs and views. The island is rich in history with Megalithic standing stones, a 5,000 year-old passage grave, and a ruined church dating from the 12th century. The 14th century O’Driscoll castle was cannonaded in the early 1600’s but still remains. The patron of the island is Saint Ciarán, allegedly the earliest of Ireland’s four pre-Patrician saints. Today the island is famous for tourism, birdwatching, and for the wind-generators which produce electricity for the island’s thousand or so permanent inhabitants.
