Does anyone know where to find cane tubes for sale? I would prefer not to buy from a pipe maker or a reed maker.

I take it, then, that you do not want “pipe” or “pipe reed” cane?
The cane tubes sold for other instruments are too hard for our purposes, unless you specifically request very soft cane, and even then your luck will vary. Medir seems to know what pipers are looking for and have some available (though I find their cane somewhat hard), but this seems to be the exception among cane tube suppliers.
It makes sense to buy from a reed maker or pipe maker unless you really want kilograms of the stuff, and in the latter case you’d be advised to get samples from a reedmaker first!

OK, I’ll bite, why not? If your intent is to use this cane for making reeds, wouldn’t it be wiser to seek these folks out? I mean, call me provincial, but I feel their cane would be what you’d want.
