I have been listening to the “Barnburner’s Reel” and “Katherine Tyrell” (attributed to Carolan) on a terrific CD by the Fort Hill String Band, of Western NY (you can hear them live at the Fiddlers of the Genessee gathering at Mumford, outside of Rochester). Does anyone know where I might find transcription of either or both of these pieces??? The Carolan sites I’ve checked have no such listing - maybe Katherine Tyrell is an alias for another of his airs. I can learn these by ear, but having the music before me makes it so much easier. Thanks in advance . . . 
You should be able to contact local Rochester musicians at http://www.irishrochester.org/ and maybe they can put you in touch with the Fort Hill String Band for help. I used to live in Rochester and they are a very helpful bunch there. I suggest writing to the McGraws and/or the Tunneys on the contact page.
