Can anyone identify another whistle on Ebay?

What on earth is this? http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=290816397484&ssPageName=ADME:X:RTQ:GB:1123. Huge holes but it doesn’t look like an Overton.

An upside down Chieftain, pic taken from a funny angle/perspective?
EDIT: Here’s a shot of my huge hole Gen/Freeman Bb i took a minute ago

Have you checked the other photos? And the holes look massive for a Chieftain.

By the shape of the fipple and windway it is a Chieftain OS. (I have one).

Thanks for the help.

I wouldn’t put much stock in the hole sizes, it was shot at a relatively close distance using a wide angle lens, and this caused the holes to look bigger than they are. Not to mention that the bottom of the whistle looks about 3 times as wide as the fipple end. Mr. Blackwood’s post proves this point pretty well.

I’m biased, because I’m a photographer, but whistle photos (even from makers) tend to be abysmal, but this one should probably win an award for atrocious photography.

Hey! What about mine?!

Take note, the windway is straigt and not curved, this might help eliminate some makers.

Browse around on Flickr for tinwhistle, pennywhistle, etc. and you’ll find all kinds of whistle image distortment.

Some are intentional while others are inexcusable.

If only there was a market for professional whistle photos, I’d have a nice little niche carved out. At least in the US. German Whistler can handle the European market.
