Hello Greg, I tried emailing you, but that didn’t work, so I thought I’d try getting a hold of you this way.

Hello Greg, Matthew Baughman here. I’m living in Shanghai, and I’m looking for an Irish flute teacher. I’ve been playing on a Skip Healy for about a year, and am trying to get my Olwell out of customs today. I’m still sort of a beginner-used to play music at Connor O’neils in Ann Arbor (MI), had a few lessons from an ex-piper turned flautist, but for the most part have taught myself from internet and mp3s. Are you still in Shanghai? How long have you been playing flute? Would you be interested in getting together?

I’m a teacher, and today’s grading day, so I better scram. It’d be great to hear from you, even if you’re not interested in teaching.

This is Olie here in Hong Kong. We met in Guangzhou a few months back. I was playng in an Irish Bar.

Congrats on your new flute. An Olwell!!!

I still use the internet for lessons…getting bits and pieces and putting them together till I can make a half decent sound without the use of mic-reverb.

I’m thinking about getting a 'Teach Yourself" book off the Internet. Heard good things about Seamus Egan’s tutor.
