My c.Roberts chanter works well with reed width 12.3mm. Anybody else have
reedexperiments with roberts chanters/reeds, normaldimension made d-reeds don’t work so well at all.

Hi Mikko,
Recent Roberts Chanters take reeds with very small internal staple and reed head volumes. Virtually any other D chanter’s reed will have a VERY sharp upper octave.
I have a detailed description including staple mandrel dimension and all that good stuff. It includes a description of a few Roberts chanter bugs and how to address them. I’d be happy to send you a copy if send me your e-mail.
