There are a number of makers in this neck of the woods (North East England) but no one springs readily to mind in Gateshead. Clues anyone?
Don’t see too many C practice sets. Probably an experiment in making a C chanter and made out to be a practice set to facilitate the sale. O/W I wonder why the chanter is not being sold by itself. tone holes look fairly large in relation to the length of the stick.
You could say the same for a Gallagher C. Pictured on the top.
The bag looks like an after-thought, appears hastily cut and sewn together. However, there is no close-up view.
The bag appears to synthetic and the bellows isn’t in the photograph.

beautiful a lovely warn sound, I’ve played also on a couple of Laburnum
concert Chanters very nice tone, I have a load of Lurburnum seasoning
out in the Garage for a Half or Full set I might make in the Future if I
Get the time if not I might sell it, I have a slight feeling it could be,and I
mean slight feeling hear, that it could be a Ray Sloan set?no bellows and
a gautex bag, can’t anyone ask ebay who the maker is?might solve
any problems anyone may have that is thinking of buying it.

The maker is Edward Charles who said:
" I was taught pipemaking and reed making by a number of Irish players/makers and have been doing both with Uiellann pipes, bagpipes and Northumbrian pipes for a long time. There is a chance the chanter is a copy of one of the famous Irish players as I know them personally, but since I made the set I’ve forgotten so I didn’t mention it in the listing. Hope that helps."
