I have tried the C&H Tweaking and found it very simple and easy to follow. How ever I did not use the recomended filler for the fipple cavity.
I did not want to go to the store for sticky tack or hold a candle. Instead I put in some stay soft clay. It might fall out when the weather warms but for now it did the job. I would mention that after removing the fipple with hot water that the glue sealent be removed from the tube or it might seize up when it is replaced. I did several waltons and generations and did crack the fipple collar on one generation. I am not sure when it happened and it could be a one time thing. Extra care should prevent this by inserting the tube in stright.

I’ve had good success using wadded up newspaper to fill in the cavities. Yeah, it’s fallen out, but by then I had some sticky-tack.
