C&F Survey

Hello Dale -

I tried to respond to the C&F Survey that was announced today in an email. But when
I clicked on the Yahoo Groups link, I got a screen that said, “Sign in with your ID and password to continue.” I don’t have a Yahoo ID and don’t want one. Please advise on how to proceed from here.

In case I can’t get through, my responses are:

Visit the website: rarely (nowadays, but I read everything on it when I was first beginning to play the whistle.)

Visit the message board: regularly. The debates over trad music arcana are great fun.

Read the web version newsletter: always, every word. Enjoy it every time.

with best regards,

Brian Fitzgerald

I had the same problem, and though I have a Yahoo id it didn’t seem to be the “right” one…

And my choices would be the same as Brian’s.

Carol

ditto cskinner…

Survey???

Yeah, I didn’t get it either. Must be the Crystal People. Or…only the Crystal People got it. Hmmm…

I had a problem too, it would not take my password, ended up having to get a new one to vote.

Same problem here

uhhhh…

what survey??

I’m lost in Limbo, too!!!

I do subscribe, and have for months and months, but there was no email from Dale in my box. Still isn’t.

Yahoopoops, I mean groups, has been having a lot of blurps lately… a lot of people aren’t getting their mail from various lists. Do you belong to other lists there, and are you getting your mail from the other lists? If not, you may have been bounced off. You should log into the home page (yahoogroups.com) and see if you need to reactivate your account. That seems to be the most common problem lately.

Good idea, thanks Andrea!

I got the run around for 20 min and even after I got the account straightned out…I still couldn’t vote. But I go along with Brian and Carol if I could vote. Gm

Exactly the same Yahoo problem as BriFitz, so:

o I view the website occasionally (but scoured it avidly when first starting)

o I visit the message board regularly. (ITM is great, difficult for mere mortals to keep up with the Poststructural)

o I read the web newsletter always, with much licking of lips when it appears in the Inbox.

Hi, Dale,

Same access problem as Brian.

I visit the forums (PSW, UP and ITM) somewhere in the frequency range from regularly to obsessively.

I greatly enjoy the newsletter, read the web version of it whenever it appears and have probably caught up with all the archived issues by now.

I hit the main website only occasionally, to see if there’s anything new on it. It’s a great resource for newcomers.

Between C&F and your other activities, you’re taking on quite a lot - and I reckon recent events haven’t done you any favours in the death penalty department. So - like a lot of people, I imagine - I’d hate you to feel that the newsletter is becoming a burden. But it’s great to hear from you whenever it appears.

So maybe you could just aim to produce it whenever you feel you have sufficient material or when the humour is on you, rather than because it’s that time of the month again. And maybe your calming influence is needed on some of the forum threads more than the newsletter these days!

Whatever you decide, you have a large and appreciative circle of friends/fans who will be grateful for whatever crystals of wisdom you choose to ///////^]]]]]]]]][[[[[ ////////<#########> \\\
