Geeze, you can’t even see the flute, I wonder what the hell it is…
Interesting though.

Ian Anderson gave an interview not too long ago and he mentioned specific details to the flutes he played over the years. I’ve been to the Jethro Tull website but didn’t see what I was looking for.

I’ll do some searching, if I find it I’ll post back here.

I guess for most people bidding on this it wouldn’t matter if IA had picked it up in MallWart’s kids section –
I somehow doubt it’s too shabby though. These fish-farmers can be quite well-off!
On my screen the flute body looks black, like wood. Hey maybe this is the only way I’ll ever be able to afford a Powell!!

This was clipped from acoustic guitar central interview w/ Ian Anderson. it mostly concerns the guitars he uses

Ian Anderson’s Sankyo and Powell flutes were supplied by All Flutes Plus, London

It went for $3650. Still no idea what it was. If it was a Powell, someone got a deal.

I actually e-mailed the individual and was told that the flute was a “Selmer” ~ and that they had 2 other Student-type flutes available as well! I sort of concluded that the guy didn’t really know what was going on… It can’t be that a Selmer (in Blackwood?!?) was really one of Ian Anderson’s flutes…? (I’m not trying to be a snob, here, but geez)
