Santa Cruz also has much stricter busking laws than it used to…sadly, not because of anything the buskers did, but because the “career housefree” who hang out downtown begging forced laws that the city council now says must apply to buskers as well. It’s really a shame.

My most memorable concentration moment came on St. Patrick’s day one year. Some drunk got into my face and yelled “LET ME PLAY YOUR FLUTE !!!” I kept on playing. Fortunately he was drunk enough to have a short attention span.
