Hey… that’s pretty cool. I didn’t get a chocolate bunny this easter…I got a chocolate deer…
So can vegitarians eat chocolate rabbits?

Sam, sure. But not squirrels. 
I.D. I LOVE REAL BUNNIES! When I was growing up one of my uncles had dozens of rabbits in huts outside. I don’t really know what for…they probably ate them. 
But they were so pretty…lop ears, the giant ones (I forgot what they’re called)…and all other kinds.
Giant, lop ears. Do you mean French Lops? I LOVE those! Lived part of my younger life on a farm and we raised rabbits (amoung other critters). Some to eat (sorry Cran) but also some just for fun and sometimes we’d show them at the State Fair. Had Angora ones and Satins and Californias and Rex and of course, my favorite- lops. We never did get into the miniature variaties of any of them though.
Had a French Lop named Flower, she was AWESOME! (And HUGE!) She kinda looked like this one:

You know how people often make lamb for Easter dinner? Wouldn’t it be horrible if they served rabbit instead, and at the right time someone said, “here comes the Easter bunny!”?

I’d probably laugh, but then, I’ve got a sick sense of humor like that. 
Bunny’s ok, but nowhere near as tasty as lamb…

Flemish giants? I’ve never seen one, but my wife has always been intrigued by the idea of a rabbit that’s the same size as our senior cat.
Speaking of rabbit the dish – my wife (the rabbit person) and I were in Portugal several years ago, and stopped for lunch at the Portuguese equivalent of a truckstop, in the middle of nowhere, for lunch. Our only Portuguese words were cognates of French and Spanish, and nobody in the entire establishment spoke a word of English, French, or Spanish. There were two lunch specials, so we picked. It turned out to be the best meal we got in Portugal – beans with bits of ham, sausage, etc. My wife looked up the other dish, and it was rabbit. We narrowly escaped having to order a second lunch since she wouldn’t touch rabbit.
Yes, rabbit, and dog-and-beans. The two most popular truck-stop specials in Portugal.

I had a French Lop. She was fawn with a black mask and weighed in at 12 pounds. Her name was Silflay- those of you who remember Watership Down know where that came from. She was evil to everyone else, liked to bite, but she never bit me.
My priest had a Flemish Giant at church yesterday as part of the sermon. That one weighed 19 pounds. A really big rabbit!
