Bryan Byrne Owners Unite!

This is just a quick little survey. I am really curious. And I’m home today. Bad combo.

As my regular readers will no doubt note, whenever people ask about flutemakers, I ‘wholeheartedly agree’ to recommendations of Pat Olwell’s masterful work, but I am quick to add a plug for Bryan Byrne.

How many folks have Byrne flutes? And what pitch? Blackwood?

We can make it like a WhO-AA meeting if you like.

‘Hi, my name’s Stuart.’

‘Hi Stuart!’

‘I own a wonderful Rudall-Rose style E-flat flute made by Bryan in the year 2000. Blackwood, silver bands and silver slide.’

Anyone else?

Stuart

Well, I saw one up for sale somewhere recently, and if I had cash to burn I would have bought it, just to satisfy my curiousity about Bryan’s flutes. Does that count?

Hi Stuart,

I have a Byrne Keyless D in Blackwood (large hole R&R style) arriving sometime around the beginning of March.

I’ll post a review when it arrives.
