It sounds to me to be the only whistle playing similar to Mary Bergin’s style. The major difference is that Brian has very contemporary backing on many of the tunes, but they range from traditional to far out.
I purchased Brian Hughes’ “Whistle
Stop” from Hastings Books Music & Video.
Don’t know if they are nationwide or not.
He uses varied instruments such as
keyboards, guitar, bass, fiddle, viola,
mandolin and percussion as accompaniment.
