I just acquired a few brass Generations and the smell of the metal is bothering me a bit. They are brand new, so not tarnished in any way, but when I play them I can sort of taste the metal through the plastic mouthpice and it’s a bit off-putting. Is there anything that takes away the smell, or do I just stay away from brass instruments from now on?
