Boxwood Rudall on ebay

I have placed one of my boxwood Rudall & Rose flutes on eBay.
Serial #1320

It’s a dandy player and likely a lifelong keeper for a new owner.

I have another that I use and prefer more (largeholed model is why).

questions? email them to me.

How does one find these things?
I searched e bay on ‘wooden flutes’ and ‘irish flutes.’
No luck.

ah…ebay.com

cut and paste

one flippin photo?! that’s cruel

or somebody could be nice and just post the LINK…

Thank you. I was drowning in impacted drool.

I did…

i thought only spammers did stuff like that.

hmmmm… :really:

I’m sensing a trend here!

Someone want to start a thread where you all can call me names?

:poke:

 oh…fine

but if I have to start it myself I’m gonna quote ya

I’m too busy drooling.

David, you might be the right man to ask how box compares to the common tropical woods in terms of weight. Does a boxwood flute feel any different when you’re holding/playing it?

ouch, david, ouch.

it actually glows.

jon, can you make me one?

david, are you aware that your website is not working? (fyfer-restoratinos, not rudall rose).

That’s “loverly”! Whimper, whimper, whimper…

Ah hell, it’s probably crawling with termites.

sob

Oooooohhhhhh! (Sigh.)

sorry guys…been busy buying world series tickets here! Go Rockies!

anyway…
yes, the Fyfer website is not up since i’ve flipped servers and am updating the page.

sorry, but I only had “one flippin” foto…but I could make more if needed.

I’m just not playing this flute (my beloved Rudall #6208 taking precedent and my boxwood rudall #1900 taking second place).
So it’s time it finds a happy home. It’s a beautiful flute indeed, but I’m a large-holed flute kind of guy.

The other question was about the weight…boxwood is definitely less dense (and ergo weighs less) than cocus flutes. Also the rings are ivory so weigh less. Now, boxwood flutes with patent heads do weigh more up top. I had one not long ago that I sold to a well-known individual who adored the balance because of the extended B foot.

I think that answers everyone!

Thank you.
