If there’s anyone out there who would be so kind as to post staple dimensions for the Boston Uillieann Pipeworks C chanter, I would be grateful.
I emailed the workshop and got no response.

Does not one person out there own a C chanter of this make? Does anyone know the maker, as I have yet to receive an answer to my inquiry via email.
Thanks

A staple for C chanter dimensions by top makers usually is 3.2 id by 50 - 52 mm.
Can you give measurements of the C reed in this chanter.
Head length/width, scrape length overall length of reed.
A photo of the C reed would be good to see.
Cheers

Just this past weekend, I got a UPB chanter in C. I don’t have measurements to hand, but could probably get them over the weekend, if that would help. I’ve got 3-month-old twins, so I’m a little distracted these days
Remind me (PM me) if I don’t post over the weekend.

…I used a 5/32 tubing which was considerably smaller than what the reed that came w/it had. I built a curly maple reed for it and the chanter works!
me happy!
So, as promised (if a little late), some reed dimensions for Boston Uilleann Pipeworks C chanter reed.
Head width: 10.6mm
Reed length: 82.4mm
Brass tubing, 4mm internal diameter
And, as best I could estimate without dismantling the reed, the staple length is about 48mm.
Hope that helps.
