Boisvert chanter and MacWarner bellows for sale.

1)Boisvert chanter in D. It is cocobolo with boxwood mountes. It is keyless, but has mounted key blocks if you want keys in the future. Anybody who has played his stuff has nothing but good to say about them. I hate to part with it, but I am just not that much into the pipes at this time in my life. I am more of a flute guy now. $800+ S&H. Add an extra $100.00 for the bag.

2)MacWarner Bellows. Beautiful black leather with sheep wool for the pads, and a lovely brown wood. It also comes with arm strap and a belt of around the waist. Unfortunately it won’t fit my bag that I have. I think you have to buy a little pipe connector part from Home Depot or something, nothing serious. It is great working and very beautiful. I paid $265, I am asking $230 +S&H.

$1100.00 for the Chanter, bag, and bellows.

I am a nice guy, so make me an offer too if you need. Thanks.

Okay, $750 for the chanter, $85 for the bag, and $225 for the bellows. I am actually losing money on this deal, I just need to sell them fast.

Just for chiffers, $725 for the chanter, $75 for the bag, and same price for the bellows. If they don’t sale today, they will go on ebay, and unfortunately the prices will be higher. I really need to sell fast.

Just a reminder, regarding FS posts, we are allowed 1 per month.

Thanks.

Thank you Joseph, I didn’t realize that.

No biggie.

I’ve said it before - David Boisvert has a discerning eye. Beautiful chanter.

Just curious - what’s the red “thing” in the end of the chanter?

That’s not one of my chanter tops…Joe, did you sell this one?

Players often put “stuff” inside their chanters to tweak certain aspects of the sound instead of mucking with the reed

Yes, I owned this chanter once upon a time and the top it is the top it came with when I got it from yerself, Mr. Boisvert… though the rosewood ‘plug’ was my addition.

The red thing in the bell of the chanter is a rush made from a bit of weed whacker line and it was used to fine tune the hard D. This chanter was a good player when I owned it and I originally got it for my lovely wife. Since then we have parted ways (big sniff  ) and it was sold to aid in keeping me housed and fed… I know… too much info, but there you have it.

Yeah, I thought it was a rush of some sort - it just looked so big in the first picture

Thanks.

… well, it is a rather big piece of weed whacker line, sure.

Haemorrhoids! :astonished:

Is this still for sale ?
If so could you please email me at jrbranton@yahoo.com?

Lovely work on those mounts.

I have an ebony Kennedy B chanter with the mount work done by Mr. Bosivert in Boxwood.

Gorgeous stuff.

It wouldn’t, by any chance, be this chanter would it?

That’s the boy.

Unfortunately your reed had a split when I got it, so I had another couple made and now it crans like a toad gargling mud. B is the place to be.

Cool. I really loved that chanter and would never had let it go if it hadn’t been for a very dark time in my life. I am happy to know it has found a happy home.

Out of curiosity, how did Joe Kennedy’s chanter end up in David Boisvert’s workshop without mounts or reedcap?
