Blown Away

Hi all,

just curious; does anybody have thoughts and experiences on how to blow a Low whistle. Does your Low whistle respond in very different manners according to how you blow it?

I would have thought so in that they do have fipples…but somehow; I feel I have to ask

E:)

Thought it was real strange when I learned that the “shape” of the mouth and also how you blow effect the tone/sound of a whistle.

Since the “fipple-windway” is about 1" or so it seems like you can´t affct what is happening on the other side if it… but you can

I can even play in pitch at different volume-levels at the first three notes in the 2nd octave on my Rose… really strange if you ask me :boggle:

A firecracker stuck halfway up the bore usually does the trick well.
