Bleazey flute in G--review

I bought a G boxwood flute from Phil Bleazey
a few weeks ago. What with breaking the thing
in and getting bronchitis, I haven’t been able
to really get to know it till about now.

It’s a terrific flute, it looks good, it sounds
very good, it’s in tune, it has an excellent tuning slide
the craftsmanship is very good. I’m still
getting to know it and anticipate it’s
even better. This one cost about 230 dollars;
compared to about 560 for good Gs from
other makers.

I need a G because I’m playing with
people who are playing and singing
in C. I add that a G flute is a very nice
instrument in its own right.

We still have no report on Bleazey’s
high end D. But I get the impression
that he may be worth more attention. Best to all

Congratulations on the new flute.

Or is this not the one you meant by “high-end D?”

Thanks. The one I mean is more expensive and it’s
a pratten. Best
