My birthday present was a Ralph Sweet piccolo! It is exquisite – rosewood and so dainty! I really enjoy the tone (it is much less shrill than a whistle) and how my fingers can just fly over the holes! I can play it quite softly with good intonation. I’m really enjoying it! Good husband, I got 
On the purchasing end, Mr. ArtsOhio seemed to enjoy his experience with the Sweetheart Flute Company. Ralph’s wife (he thinks) really worked with him to helop pick out an appropriate instrument and to get the piccolo here by my birthday but around my husband’s work schedule (he was afraid of it arriving at the office when he wasn’t there and sitting out in the weather).
So thanks to the Sweets for taking care of my husband and thanks to y’all for all the information which got me so excited about getting a piccolo!
