Cerainly they do! And a high pitched whistle like that is great for making bird calls. :slight_smile:

ya oughta hear my Thin Weasel high G-- VERY birdlike, and not at all shrill. Niftiest piece of woodworking I’ve yet seen. Walls so thin they make me shudder when I consider turning them. Glenn couldn’t find the right size tubing for the tuning slides, so he turned them himself from stainless. The whole thing is just a tad thicker than a pencil… he da man!

I forget the exact notes, but with a loud enough whistle I can get the hawks in my neighborhood to reply to a two-note “hawk call” (think of the beginning of “Twin Peaks”).
