BILLY MCCOMISKEY CONTACT?

Would anybody have a contact address or email for Billy McComiskey. He’s an old friend and mentor whom I haven’t seen or spoken to for fifteen years. I’d like to get in touch with him now, especially since we’ve moved to Ireland.
Thanks, David

He lives in Kilnaboy, but that’s all I have on him.

Hi David, check your private messages.

Hi Rob-- no luck with either address, two Cs in the middle or one C. Both came back as undeliverable.
David

Wow, is he not living in MD anymore?

That’s just what I was thinking. Is there more than one, or has he moved on?

Tom

I’m pretty sure he still lives in Parkville (Baltimore), Md.
I’m also pretty sure he isn’t in Kilnaboy-- might be another BMc.

…and the one in Maryland is the one that you are looking for, David??

If so, although I don’t know how to contact him directly, I may be able to find out. PM me if you would like me to try to find out.

All the Best, Tom

His son Sean is playing with the Baltimore area band O’Malley’s March. You might try contacting Billy through him?

Here’s a bit on him from their website, located http://www.omalleysmarch.com/asean/seanmain.htm

Sean McComiskey

As the son of the great Button Accordion player, Billy McComiskey, Sean has been surrounded by the sounds of Irish music, especially Irish accordion music, his entire life. Before picking up “the box,” Sean tried various other instruments, including the piano and the fiddle, but none of which seemed to fit him. It wasn’t until the summer of 1998 when he learned his first tune on the button accordion. Since then he’s been hooked.

Sean has performed at a variety of concerts and festivals - the Washington Irish Festival, the Kennedy Center Millennium stage, and the White House St. Patrick’s Day Celebration. Sean graduated from Calvert Hall College High School, with honors, in June 2002, and is currently attending Towson University. He is regular at J. Patrick’s Pub in Locust Point and can be seen in and around Baltimore performing at ceilis, sessions and with O’Malley’s March.

The band’s e-mail addy is: omalleysmarch@omalleysmarch.com

Best o’ luck!

Thanks. I contacted Billy about a month ago. All’s well.
David
