From what he tells me, he plans to. It’s just that he’s not happy with what he has done in the past.
I’ve heard his regulators and they sound great. I was never a big fan of regs. Most pipers I listen to do either of two things: they ignore the regs, or they over play them. Then I heard Nick play them - very staccatto - it definately added something to the mix. Once I get 100% used to the new drones and keyed chanter, I’ll start saving for the regulators. Hopefully, by the time I have enough money put aside, Nick will have found a design for bass regs that he’s happy with.
