reporter shouldn’t be allowed around dogs

What did he expect? Just look at those teeth! :astonished:

I hope they treated the dog for infection after the incident; no telling where that journalist has been.

Ye mean to say that dere is two Barnys…

Here’s the original..

Not at the peak of his power alas but still way ahead of the pack.

Slan,
D.

I’m just glad that you didn’t post the theme song for Barney…

Let’s see…a dog to whom the reporter is a total stranger. Obviously not feeling happy. Not putting out any friendly body language whatsoever. Quite the contrary, he obviously just wants to be left alone. So let’s stick cameras in his face, yell at him repeatedly, and then reach out a hand toward his head, and see what he does.

The only thing that puzzles me is that the guy didn’t seem more embarassed.

I saw this on the news today and thought the reporter must be an idiot.
The dog did everything but say out loud-

“Leave me alone.”

Some people just can’t read body language. Of course I suppose spending most of my life with Skyes gives me an edge. “Wha Daur Meddle Wi Me” is the motto-

How does one read body language from a mop. I can’t even tell when they are doing a sit or down. Sorry about the tone of this but some miniature dachshunds in puppy class are making my little girl look bad! I will sat this my great gran, who always had Skye’s named Bonnie something or other, had very well polished wood floors which was impressive in a three hundred year old home. Maybe the new “First Dog” should be a short legged longhaired terrier to reduce the White House cleaning costs.

Don’t forget Barney Fife.

That’s Barney on the right

The thane of Fife had a… Barney?

Of course he did but Firth he wasn’t very Forth coming about it.

I gueth he wath feeling a bit frithky that morning.

  I know exactly what you mean about the “sit”- one of my Skyes many years ago almost got “dq’d” by the obedience judge on that exercise, until he realized, upon closer examination that his first impression was wrong.

As for clean floors, yeah the wood floors look good if you over look all the leaves brought in from the outside- that long coat works both ways you know.. and I once had a great, wonderful, silly goof of a skye named, most appropriately"Broom".
