I’ll be at a conference at Univ. Berkeley later this month (9/22-26) and as it’s my first trip to the Bay area, wonder if anyone is willing to impart a suggestion or two on how to spend an evening in search of good tunes and a pint?

In Berkeley, you can just grab a can of Guiness from the convenience store and then hang out on the street with your flute. There will be plenty of music (among other things). Keep you face unshaved and put on your tie-dyed and you’ll make plenty of friends.
