Benedict XVI not the true Pope?

While looking for information on Catholics who were upset about changes coming out of Vatican II (because of some TV programs I had seen, with priests criticizing it), I found the following. It appears that the split in the Episcopal Church has gotten a lot more publicity than the split in the Roman Catholic Church.

“The Catholic Church Never Changes”

After 40 years of the Holy See being vacant, the Catholic Church has, on October 24, 1998 elected Pope Pius XIII as the Vicar of Christ on Earth. The details of his election and papacy can be found on the Papal Homepage.

Many of Pope Pius XIII’s writings, penned prior to his ascension to the Chair of St. Peter, will continue to exist on this website under his former name. Many of these writings are in newsletters known as Caritas, and in other documents on specific topics. These will be marked with a yellow oval saying “Pre Pius XIII Document.” Documents which do reference the “vacancy” will be clearly date-stamped and marked as written prior to the restoration of the papacy, because their content and explanations are invaluable in understanding the background of the papal situation.

It is likely that most of you think that the “Catholic Church” now centered in Rome, in the Vatican, is the Catholic Church. Since 1958 (after the death of Pope Pius XII on October 9, 1958), the holders of offices there, have usurped the name of the Catholic Church from which they of their own free will departed. They left the faith, and therefore they left the Church that was founded by Christ on the apostles with Peter as its head. Their defection from the faith is something we must prove and that is the burden of much of the literature that you will find in this website.

The deception into which you have been drawn by bogus Council Vatican II (1962 - 1965) is extremely acute. Why? Because those leaders, all the Fathers of the bogus Council Vatican II plus their leaders (John XXIII, Paul VI, John Paul I, John Paul II, and now Benedict XVI) kept not only the name Catholic Church, but they also kept their position in the community that continues to call itself the Catholic Church. The only way that one can prove this truth is to examine the teachings of the Catholic Church before bogus Council Vatican II, and then compare those earlier teachings with the ones now taught by that unfortunate and diabolical Council Vatican II.

The immense truth that will strike you is that there is a great difference between the doctrines of the pre-Vatican II Catholic Church and those of the post-Vatican II “Catholic Church.” Once you recognize this, you are forced to admit that they are not one and the same Church. The next conclusion is that both cannot be God’s Church. Deliberately, we do not call God’s Church the true Church, for God does not have an untrue Church. He made only one Church. If you find that Church, you must conclude that all other so-called “Churches” are not of God. They are the Churches of Satan.

You may ask: “Well then, who is the Pope of God’s Church?” By God’s permission we were without a successor to our last true pope, Pope Pius XII for 40 years from October 9,1958 until October 24, 1998. The movement on the part of those who still have the true faith, still in the Catholic Church, came to a joyful outcome on October 24, 1998, when Pope Pius XIII was elected to the Chair of St. Peter.

Well, theyre callde the Auld catholics ,they splitted up after they didnt want to accept the new sentences from the council in the vatican.
Even the Catholic church had some splittings :
-The first was the shisma in the 11th century (the eastern church or callde the orthodox church)
-the 2nd was the reformation (the lutheran church and those churches of calvin and zwingli )
and the last was after a council (the auld catholics)
hope this informations could help here.
Under the name catholic church normally the roman catholic church is mentioned.

Yes, there are any number of Sede Vacantist groups, a few of which, like this one, have gone on to name their own pontiff. Okay… in some cases, it’s not so much a group as an individual, or maybe a family. But there are whole groups too… try a web search for sede vacantism.

How many times does one hear a person, or group attach the word “true” in front of their name/description in order to lend itself some sort of credibility?

The web site FAQ says:

As a security issue to protect the pope, the papal residence, at this time, shall not be published.

I bet the real reason is that their office in some mundane place like Lansing, MI or Hoboken, NJ or Walla Walla WA. And that makes it a little harder for people to imagine this guy as a pope.

Hold on, I see that they do have a PO box in Springdale, WA. So the papal residence is a Mailboxes Etc on Route 292.

Caj

that’s true.

 Sorry, don’t mean to laugh. It’s just that I know people like this. They are called “Traditionalists” but at the same time, they are “Sedevacantists” meaning the “Seat is Vacant” (in fact, all Catholics were sedevacantists for the short time between pontiffs just recently). Their position is unfortunate in many ways.
Out of curiosity, why were you looking into “pre-VII” Catholics? Or did you already say, and I missed that part (I’m sort of skimming right now…)

I think Mel Gibson is one of these guys.

As far as I know, he’s not. He’s a “Traditionalist” but he’s not a sedevacantist. In other words, he likes the Latin Mass and isn’t too keen on VII, but he believes that Benedict XVI is the pope. Clear as mud?

I had seen a priest or two, and a couple of guys in civies talking about how evilt it was that the Latin Mass had been done away with. I’ve also seen some services in Latin on TV. (There are more religious channels here in North Texas than I’d previously seen in my entire short life.) So, I was just curious whether the results of Vatican II had the stamp of Papal approval. I found another Web site that said that they did, so all Catholics must submit, but then found this site, agreeing that the Pope backed it, and saying that that proved that the Pope was a tool of Satan. I hadn’t realized that things had gone that far.

I just noticed the website…you seem to have stumbled onto “Pope” Pius XIII’s site! Do they still have the pictures of the white smoke coming from the chimney of his trailer?
As for Vatican II, one really can’t say that it wasn’t legitimate. But apparently there is controversy in whether it was an infallible council or not. It is my understanding that since nothing was defined (other than those things that had already been defined, if that makes sense), that it was NOT infallible. But lack of infallibility does not render it illegitimate. Obviously, sedevacantists do not agree with this…although I suppose that since he has made himself his own pope, Pius XIII isn’t really a sedevacantist, is he? It’s all too confusing, and in their attempts to uphold what they feel is the truth, they have in essence left the Catholic Church.

Oh, my… now THAT was funny!

Just a heads up,
my dog and little sister just elected me Pope Zephyrinus II and the real centre of the Catholic Church is in a small suburb just East of Ottawa, I’m going to start painting the ceiling tomorrow.

Is that the ceiling of the Cistern Chapel?

I’m the Pope and so’s my wife!

this site is interesting for me ,but more for searching how the church was once, and to be happy that the roman catholics made it better after the last council ,introduced by John the 23rd .
We decided it right, and theyre just a small group of crazy hardcore christians ,the only true fans of jesus in a world full of evil (sounds like very strong paranoia     :smiling_imp: :smiling_imp:  )
I´m glad that we got the new way, cause so evryone can understand what the priest is saying there,in earlier times just those which had latin in school (not so many) could understand him.
and I believe that no one is in a wrong church,as long as they just do it in the well way.friends of me come from several confessions ,and i dont believe that theyre lost cause of that.if martin luther wouldnt have done the reformation ,the church and the people would still act like centuries ago.
and we came over and stopped things like inquisition.

Do you both get to share the Papal Tiara then?
