Beginner's slow air

All,

I’m looking to learn a new tune. I’ve listened to the Clips & Snips webpage slow airs and have narrowed it down to a few, and would like some feedback. Remember I’m just starting out so I need as easy as possible :slight_smile: Here they are:

Blind Mary
Eanach Dhuin
Paddy’s Ghostly Ramble through the Park
Coombe
Foggy Dew
Fair Maid of Wicklow

I love Irish slow airs and the stories behind them.
They are deceptively simple- many of the tunes come from Sean nos singing,and really the tune should be phrased to match the words (usually Gaelic).
Slow airs played correctly,have to,to my ears,an incomparable beauty.
Of your list,I would say that perhaps ‘Blind Mary’ and ‘The Maid of Wicklow’ are the most straight forward for a ‘beginner’.
Paddy’s rambles does involve some half holing on G# and D#.*
