Well here is what I have gathered to get started. I think I over did it a bit.lol
They all have there own sound and I enjoy playing them all. I find myself practiceing more sense I want to play each song on each whistle and cant decide which one I like the most.
I think I like them all the most and my wife said no more whistles until I can play 100 songs. Just means ill have to practice more.
The white one is an âEverywhistleâ. I have a D/Eb/C (one head - three bodies) and they are very nice.
Theyâre my most-used whistles.
BTW⌠thatâs a beautiful âstarterâ collection of whistles!! But youâll need more keys.. at least some in the key of C and Eb (itâs just an opinion)
Wow!! And Iâve been very happy this past week with my first⌠A Jerry Freeman tweaked Mellow Dog. I guess Iâll have to pry open the wallet soon just to keep up with you guys!!
That white Everywhistle is great and plays so easy.
The Clare I take with me almost everwhere so I can practice on the spurr of the moment.
kptom, no need to pry open the wallet I soon realized I can learn to play with anyone of these whistles. Although I can see myself being one of those guys who just likes buying different whistles. I will try and restrain myself.
As Bothrops said I will need more keys which means more whistles. And I diddnât forget the Clark orginal, its on my next list. But I have a lot to learn yet and a long road. I just wish I would have started this when I was young.
I sounds very good to me and plays like the Feadogs, I like it. But remember im still a beginner and might not know the difference yet.
Got it from Bigwhistle. A few other places had it but no one had a case to go with it and Bigwhistleâs is a real nice case. Makes it easy to carry around.
The Clare whistle has a nice, light sound. I think I bought mine from UK eBayâeven shipping to US I got it home for about 18.00. I also bought some other Clare whistles at the same time. The brass tarnishes more easily than my other brass whistles (maybe someone can tell me why), but naturally that doesnât affect its sound.
