Hive bodies? What might that be?

How, exactly, did you get them to accompany you? This fascinates me.

Those pictures where someon has a beard made out of bees–I’ve read those are usually a swarm. They can do that because swarms are so mellow.

OK, having said that, I feel a mild twinge of guilt for still thinking the explosions were cool…

> What you are describing sounds like Yellow-jackets, a wasp or a jazz group. But not a honey bee. With the current global threat to honey bees even africanized bees are/and will be valuable. China is virtually bee less right now. Most of their bee pollinated crops are now pollinated by human hand. Incredibly labor intensive and unsustainable. I can not even begin to describe the impact on agriculture the loss of bees is having in the US. People are losing their livelihoods and the consumer is either going to lose access to certain foods or cost will go through the roof. The only way cranberry bogs in Wisconsin and else where can actually get a profitable harvest is through the use of honey bee pollinators. Same for blue berries, apples, oranges, lemons, limes for my gin and tonics this summer ![:pint:](https://s3.pfaffmanager.com/sites/chiffandfipple/original/2X/b/bdf33a80f4f107d4aecc75c4f826012ae3d11ea1.gif "pint!") , etc. I actually got compensation for three hives I lost once to an unannounced aerial spraying done by the U. S. Air force over my hives plus a very sincere letter of apology from the spray program commander.

You are right! I should have clarified. These were yellow jackets and some kind of wasplike thing. Very aggressive when accidently run over with a lawn mower. I got three stings from that incident. I still feel bad about burning them though.

I never bother honey bees which, unfortunately, I don’t see as many of as before.

Wasn’t it the Bee G’s who once said:

It’s just your hive talkin’
You’re telling me lies, yeah
Hive talkin’
You wear a disguise
Hive talkin’
So misunderstood, yeah
Hive talkin’
You’re really no good

etc.

Mine keeps me out of fights with gobby racists.

However, she didn’t stop me from climbing up a wee old building in Newquay. I think it’s because she wanted the photo-opportunity of me getting stuck and unable to find a safe way down. Ha ha, the joke was on her, 'cause when I got stuck _I_ had the camera.

No, hang on. I had the camera, but I still got stuck. Mebbe no photographic evidence, but the joke was still on me wasn’t it?

Could you, perhaps, be mistaking this for the Bugs’ Knickers or the Gnat’s Nads?
