I am sure it would be a great flute, wish I had the mulla…
Good luck David!
Jon
Looks darn good!
It didn’t sell. I was sore tempted but didn’t bid for a number of reasons.
I liked “Gooks” better. ![]()
it allowed more of an interpretive experience in attempting to determine the meaning
there’s so much poetry in fat fingers
Actually I thought it was full of Seoul.
ah…phat fingers then?
Well I think ya’ll are full of bulgogi.
naw…it was chicken ![]()
hardly ever do beef
Wow, no takers?
Times they are tough!
You should try the bulldogi then.
Its hard to get in the States though.

I know.
Considering its one of the only known examples it more than just a flute.
I’d love to look at it against my “Wylde”
David wasn’t the only unlucky would be vendor - there was also a George Rudall made by Willis from the 1820s in top condition which ended yesterday from one of the regular British dealers on eBay which got no bids at all from a pretty reasonable start of £2500. Didn’t you guys see that one?
Hard times indeed.
You can paint “Cow” on the side of a horse but that won’t make it a cow.
Has Jon C. played this flute?
Was there a “Return if Not Satisfied” policy in effect?
OK, now I’m confused - did you mean “…that won’t make it a cow”???
Pat ![]()
Thanks Pat - and sorry…
Is there with your Olwell? Fact is, David’s got a pretty good reputation around here. What’s your point?
Yes to the first. Absolutely.
As far as the second goes- no imputation regarding anybody’s reputation. You can probably figure out what I mean when I say that calling a horse a cow won’t make it a cow.
Hmmm… well what do you call this then?

No.
It is probably more clear to you that to us… you know.
It is your thought after all.

Are you saying its not a R&R just because its stamped on there?
True.
But that doesn’t mean that many R&R are not “Camp’s” without Camp stamped on them.
If Mr. Migoya says this is a fine period player and as good as any from the house of R&R I’m inclined to believe him.
Its essentially a “R&R” as well as it being a rare item on its own merit.
