Just received the music (doing a new Shaun Davey piece that he wrote for the Special Olympics) and found that I need a Bb chanter. Anyone out there have one that they would be willing to let me borrow for a few days? Will reimburse for over-nighting to Chicago and back. Do you need a Bb chanter, or do you just need to play in the key of Bb? A C chanter with “C-nat” and “F-nat” key (they’re actually Bb and Eb keys) will allow you to play in the key of Bb, though you’ll have to do some transposing. If you need to get down to a “bottom D” in Bb, then please ignore the previous.

Thanks again to all who responded. I found out earlier today that Shaun Davey is coming to Chicago this weekend, and I arranged to have Mick O’Brien’s Bb carried over on the flight. Hope everyone has a good St. Patrick’s Day!
