Attempting to drag this discussion back to the original question: B/C or C#/D instruments. Check out Irish Dancemaster Accordions for an instrument. They are under $1000 and worth every penny. And, Michael frequently rebuilds Hohner Black Dots and other boxes to good effect. Besides this he is a fine source of information and very willing to help folks out. No, I don’t work for or with him. I did buy a box once though, and found him a fine person to work with.
