Average Cats

The anti-LOLCats.

Some of my favorites:

My distaste for cats is visceral, and groundless. I think it’s a DNA thing.

I’m not sure you can taste DNA.

I don’t believe the one about the cat not loving pizza.

Average cat with a an 'ittle birdy. yum! yum!

Here’s what Hazel thinks of all this:

We know that one: “I am in a box!”

I also have a kitty who drools when she’s happy.

Good casket? BTW many cats are lactose intolerant, might want to get that kitty some Lactaid milk instead of that organic stuff. Oh wait! It is lactose free!

Yes, the milk is consumed by the kid who is also lactose-intolerant. The kitty doesn’t get any. Though, when she deigns to pad around on my lap, it is often clear that she does not require milk for odiferous pooting.

Actually, this kitty is not happy. She is irate. Another cat is in her “real” box, and she is mad.

…which is impossible to overlook if You just mind the position of the ears!
“Sudden, unexpectable cat-aggression” is a myth by people, who just can’t read cat’s faces! …wonder, whether they can’t even read HUMAN faces…

You, sir, have obviously never met our “Lace”.

Puncture wound left digitus secundus manus intermediate phalanges from both the dorsal and palmar sides. Ouch! Reason? Not petting enough. Try fingering a chanter with a big honking hole in yer finger.

My distaste for cats is empirical, based on having had some.

It may be a DNA thing, too, but it would be the cat’s DNA and not mine.

Every cute little kitty has within it the DNA code to turn into a peeing, geriatric nightmare, and they will if you’re not lucky enough to have them get hit by a car before that can happen.

Same applies to people.

Indeed.

Yeah, and they both break your heart when they’re gone.

I had a psychotic cat in my childhood, and that is one reason I have no desire for a cat. She would purr, rubbing her face against mine as I petted her, and then without warning decide she’d had enough and sink her teeth into my jaw, hanging there until I peeled her off and threw her across the room. (Yes, I know, that didn’t help her any, but I was just a kid. And I’m exaggerating a bit; it was a small room and I never threw her into the wall or anything like that. She always landed on her feet.) She’d also hide under my bed and when I ventured near, dart out and sink her teeth into my ankle. However, I visit friends who have cats, and I like the friendly sort that like to sit in your lap and purr, and have lovely soft fur to pet. I can’t see myself ever intentionally getting a cat, but I understand that they are not all evil.

Again, there are people like that.
