I recently acquired a Susato Low C without Keys from a Chiffer here.
Though I have a strong preference for loud whistle with clarity/purity, it sounds soft and quiet.
In my breath and ears, it breathes and sound like Susato S-Series Bb.
Upon examination the Low C body is very similar to the Low D body and the only difference is that the Low C head is just longer.
I tried inserting the Low D body on the Low C head and it still sounds in C but in an awful scale.
So I tried the Low Eb body on the Low C head and it produced a C#.
It has an awful scale, but to my breath and ears it is very similar to the Susato High B or C, which I really love.
Susato now offers the Low C# with keys which is not to my liking.
I had a low D with Keys and the sound is somewhat clouded on the keyed notes, plus I hate the clicking sound of the key.
I was just hoping that someone has a Low C# body without keys.
If someone have it, can you describe it based on your own experience or perhaps loan the whistle to me. ![]()
