August Update: Whistle quality control, etc...

For those interested in the great lengths that we at Busman Whistles go to in order to bring you fine, durable whistles, here is a picture of our quality control department testing a Busman Delrin whistle in gruelling tropical heat conditions:

The photo was taken at King’s Wharf in Bermuda. Tough work, but somebody had to do it…

Back to the real world, alas.

I just received a new batch of metal fittings for my whistles, so those people who have been waiting patiently :stuck_out_tongue: for their whistles should not have to wait too much longer.
I have a number of interesting whistles at various stages-- finished tubes in Yellowheart, CheChen, and a really interesting piece of Chokte Viga. These could be finished up into whistles in fairly short order. Bored and ready to turn externally and finish I have another yellowheart, Mun Ebony, Ziracote, and two in Bolivian Rosewood. I’ll be boring some others in a couple of days, so if there’s some timber you’ve been considering, now would be a good time to let me know so I can get one in the works for you.

I’m glad to see you didn’t let that whole “podiatry” business distract you from the true reason for the trip; whistle testing!

Dang! Why can’t I ever get a job like that!

Redwolf

I haven’t even HEARD of half of those woods!
(Kevin, patiently waiting for Tulip and Olive wood whistles).
It’s a hard life!
