A thread in the whistle forum, /viewtopic.php?f=1&t=100494, describes WIDesigner, a software application to assist whistle designers. I’d like to extend WIDesigner to work on flutes, but I have neither the flutes nor the playing skills to do a proper job of calibrating it, so I need help from a competent flute player. I’d need measurements of physical dimensions (generally to the nearest 0.5 mm or 0.1 mm) and playing frequencies on a keyless flute, with a simple bore profile, preferably cylindrical. This page from the WIDesigner documentation gives an idea of the playing frequencies I’d be asking for.
Please PM me if you are interested in assisting.
