I was looking for some shakuhachi music and came across this site
http://webjay.org/by/salishsea/asianflutemusic
a couple of links are bust
(Shakuhachi solo & Skauhachi, koto and voice)
but the rest seem to work ok.
Hope somebody else likes it ![]()

Great, thanks! Do you know about The Shakuhachi Forum? Come by and say hello, and pass on the link too!
Thanks for the link,
I enjoyed the Shika No Tone âduetâ (double tracked?)
Its said to represent a conversation between two deer in a valley. Beautiful. A bit more laid back than our descriptive peice The Fox Chase.
Riley Leeâs Birdswing track has a great exploration of harmonic whistle tones. Impressive control. Plenty of homework done there.
Regards,
Harry.
Webjayâs a nifty site, Iâve found lots of interesting oddments there.
Unfortunately âEek-A-Mouse jamming with Irish pub musiciansâ doesnât seem to be upâŚ

Interesting, I have never heard it played that way.
Sounds very nice.
Yes, its traditionally considered a duet I think. The majority of the recordings I have of it are solo though.
Regards,
H.
