Asheville (NC) sessions?

I know this should go in the City Guide, but I searched there and didn’t find anything recent, and the last time I posed a question to that forum it was answered six months after I needed the answer :wink:

I know there’s been a session at Jack of the Wood on Sunday evenings (starting 5pm) in Asheville; I just wanted to make sure that’s still true and also to find out if there are other Irish sessions in town). I’ll be in the area (about an hour south of Asheville) for a week starting this Saturday.

Every Sunday at Jack of the Wood. It is in downtown Asheville on Patton Ave. It is still going. I really don’t know of any others around.

Thanks! I will probably come on Sunday…I just wanted to be sure it was still on before I made the two-hour roundtrip from where we’re staying. I hear there’s a good old-timey session there on Wednesdays as well; we’ll be coming in for that too, but just to listen.
