Are there any Northumbrian pipers in Michigan?

Hello there,

I have had a set of NSP for about two years, and I have never seen another Northumbrian piper in my life. I just would like to find a Norhumbrian piper in Michigan for some help.

Not in Michigan, but Frank Edgley, the concertina maker, lives in Windsor, Ontario. Frank used to play NSP years ago and helped get me interested in them. I think he’s pretty active around the Detroit area.

Hey thanks for the reply. Do you have his email address?

See Frank’s web site for contact information: http://www.concertinas.ca/ordering.html

Hi Diego I usually bring my NSPs out to Kinmundy in
Southern Illinois. I’m going there in September.
It’s a big house and you can stay overnight or longer
if you wish. It’s about 5 1/2 hours south of Chicago
on Hwy 57. I’ve driven to St.Joseph Mich. one way
time is about 7 1/2 hours, so you’d have to make a
long weekend of it. phone is (618) 547-3769
I have an F set and a D set of NSPs and if I
drive out there I’ll bring along my reed making
stuff. I have just visited my friend Mike Sharp,
who has been making excellent NSP chanter reeds
and has now started making NSP Pipes.
Mike lives in Monte Sereno, near San Jose, his Email is:
msharp@SharpBagpipes.com Mike is going to
the Piper’s Gathering at Killington, Vermont 2nd weekend
in August, (this coming Fri,thru Monday).
You can see a lot of NSP pipers there !
