Anyone with experience using Tascam pocketstudio 5

Hi all,

I looking into a portable digital recorder, so far I have tried the zoom h2 and h4 and the Edirol r1 old stock at my guitar shop, all were really good, I have found a used in good codition Tascam pocket studio 5 for around $ 170 dollars, which is $ 130 dollars cheaper than the Uk price for a zoom h2, but was just checking if anyone had used or owned one, they are a bit older but have a load of features, which I will probably not use.

so any user info would be appreciated.

the zoom H4 in the UK is around $ 340
the H2 is $280
Edirol r1 if you can find one is $300

SO $ 170 seems good if it records as good as the zooms and edirols.

I don’t have experience with the others, but the Tascam Pocket has the poorest manual I’ve ever seen. I have only been able to do the most basic recording with it. I would say it ok for home use. My best friend and I bought one at the same time and he has the same opinion of it and it’s manual as I do and he is a rocket scientist. I"ll sell you mine for $100 plus shipping.
Maybe others have had more luck. Anybody out there who knows a good source for instructions on how to use this we love to know about it.
